Info: Code Of Conduct

Below are the requirements and standards which the club expect all members to adhere to. Anyone not adhering to these rules will be liable to forfeit their membership.

General:

1. Swimmers are expected to regularly attend appropriate swimming lessons/ training sessions. Water time is precious (and expensive) and must not be wasted by swimmers arriving late.
2. Any swimmer who does not attend 2 weeks consecutive swimming sessions, without prior explanation to teacher/coach, shall be assumed to have left the club and may lose their place.
3. All swimmers are to respect the need for quietness in the corridor during club sessions. Running is forbidden on the pool side and elsewhere in the building.
4. Swimmers must behave appropriately in the changing rooms and respect other swimmer’s clothes and belongings.
5. No swimmer may enter the water without official permission from teacher/coach.
6. In all sessions, swimmers are expected to behave and respond to the teachers/coaches instructions.
7. Equipment must be used carefully and not mistreated.
8. Parents/guardians are responsible for the behaviour of all children in their charge.
9. Parents/guardians MUST ensure that their child/children’s swimming session has not been cancelled, before leaving them at the Sports Centre. Parents/guardians MUST also ensure that their child/children are picked up promptly. It is not the responsibility of the club to child mind your children in the event that the pool is closed for whatever reason.
10. Any member found misbehaving will be liable to suspension until the next Committee meeting, in accordance with the Club’s rules.
