Saturday 19th January saw the first Cotswold Series gala of the season and Clevedon swimming Club continued in its winning ways.

Individual races were won by: Gary Carpenter, Dannielle Appleford (2), Rosemary Harris, Hayley Burston, Iona Thomas, Rebecca Parsons (2), Bethan Clark, Rachel Aldington, Charlotte Ellis (2) and Kelsey Khardine. Victorious Relay squads were comprised of: Bethan Clark, Kelsey Khardine, Abi Sudol, Iona Thomas, Guy Prideaux (2), William Mathias (2), Matt Bray (2), William Instance (2), Dannielle Appleford (2), Laura Neal (2), Emily Harden (2), Rebecca Parsons (2), Sophie Fisher, Bethan Clinton, Evey Carpenter, Patrick Trower, Harry Thornton, Tom Jones, Matt Ford, Megan Prideaux (2), Rachel Aldington (2), Elena Ibal (2) and Hayley Burston (2).

In fact, 9 of the 16 relay races were won by Clevedon, demonstrating the squad's strength in depth.

Thomas and Emily Harden deserve special mention fro swimming at short notice and performing extremely well.
