Clevedon Swimming Club went into the third round of the Cotswold series on the back of first places in the first two galas. Unfortunately, they came up against two clubs who were also unbeaten in the previous rounds and somebodies unblemished record had to give! Southwold and Bristol Henleaze were the other unbeaten sides and after a highly competitive gala they both managed to pip Clevedon who had to settle for third place. Final points were:

Clevedon's individual race winners were: Gary Carpenter (2), Danielle Appleford (2), Ruby Lynch, Rachel Aldington and Charlotte Ellis. Relay victors were: Danielle Appleford, Laura Neal, Stephanie Reynolds and Ruby Lynch,

Personal bests were achieved by: Danielle Appleford, Bethan Clark (2), Nick Kelly, Ruby Lynch, Patrick Riddell (2), Sam Thomas, Patrick Trower (2) and Kelly Waygood.

This result means that the squad still has some work to do in the remaining preliminary round to ensure qualification for the 'A' Final. However, if the team swims to its potential, this should be well within their grasp.
