Somersets- Three County Champions!:

Yet another successful year for the club with 3 swimmers winning county championship events in their age group with one swimmer winning two Senior Championship events. Amber Summerell started well on the first weekend winning her age group for the 200 Breastroke, however, not content with winning her age group, she went on to convincingly winning the Senior championship in the 100 Breaststroke after qualifying for the final as the fastest swimmer. To finish the competition she also won the Senior Championship for the 50m Breaststroke after a nervous wait for the supposed fastest swimmers to complete their swim. At 13 years old this also meant she won the Junior Championship events too!

The final weekend was clearly successful for the club in the sprint events with Matthew Bray winning the 50m Fly and Freestyle in the 11 year age group, whilst Elena Ibal won the 50m Backstroke in the 15 year old age group.

With 361 swims, the majority of which were PB's there were some fantastic swims alongside the winners. All the somerset results can be viewed on our results database
